1. The Home Office
The first place we would probably think of is our office at home or some quiet and secluded spot in the house. This is one of the most ideal places as it is quiet and familiar, which is usually what is required to get the imagination going. However, using the same space every time with the same atmosphere and familiar items around could also prevent new ideas or thoughts from forming.
2. The Library
The library is also a good place to visit, as it is usually quiet. Some older libraries create a warm and cozy feeling, you can easily find a comfy little corner, where you can disappear into your own little world. You can get inspiration from the books on the shelves, the atmosphere, and the architecture of the building. You can also get inspiration from the other people around you, by observing their silent interactions with others around them.
3. Public Park
Being outdoors in nature can stimulate and relax the mind. You can find a quiet spot in the park where you can formulate your next storyline or let nature inspire you to write some lines of poetry. You can find lots of inspiration in the park, like the way the wind blows through the trees, the birds singing, couples taking a stroll, and families out playing. You can never tell what you’ll see or who you’ll meet when you venture out to the park.
4. By The Lake/ River
You can take a slow boat ride on the lake/ river or just sit onshore, listening to the sound of nature. This is the perfect setting to get the creative juices flowing.
5. Camper Van
Going on a road trip in a camper van is not only fun, but it gives you the opportunity to meet some new and interesting people along the way. You could also create new memories and experiences which could inspire a unique story for your next project.
